The
VA Dept of Agriculture wants you to show what Virginia grown and
Virginia made foods and beverages you consumed during a single day
during Farmers Market Week, August 3 – 9, 2008, including where you
bought then, how you prepared them and how you enjoyed them.

your video to EatLocalVa@vdacs.virginia.gov.
VDACS must receive the videos no later than September 2, 2008. The
judges will make their selection by Monday, September 15. Read
complete details below.
- The video should be no longer than 5 minutes and must feature only
fresh and processed products grown or manufactured in Virginia.
- A panel of three judges from VDACS will select one winner. The
selection will be based on the creativity demonstrated in the
video, the number and variety of Virginia products shown, the
enthusiasm demonstrated for the products and overall appeal of the
video.
- VDACS will post the winner on our Web site and will award the winner a
prize package of Virginia Grown produce and Virginia’s Finest
products valued at $200.
- Entries become the property of the Virginia Department of Agriculture
and Consumer Services and may be used for promotional purposes
without additional compensation for the winner.
- The dates of the contest are August 3 – 9, 2008. Entries must
be received by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer
Services no later than September 2, 2008.
- Value of the prize is up to $200. Possible taxes on the
additional income represented by this prize will be the
responsibility of the winner.
- The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be
substituted or exchanged for cash or credit. Any expenses
involved in claiming the prize are the responsibility of the
winner.
- One entry per person. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.
- Prize must be claimed by November 28, 2008.
- Employees of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer
Services and immediate families are not eligible to win.
- Each entry must contain the entrant’s name, address, and daytime
phone number.
- The contest is subject to all state and federal regulations.

- For the name of the winner, please send a stamped, self-addressed
envelope to the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer
Services, Office of Communication and Media Relations, PO Box
1163, Richmond VA 23218, or check our Web site at www.vdacs.virginia.gov.
- By participating in this contest, each entrant releases the Virginia
Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services from any and all
liability with respect to this prize and agrees that these
entities are in no manner responsible or liable for any warranty
or guarantee, expressed or implied in fact or in law relative to
any prize.
